Heather is originally from Toronto, Canada and has been Practicing Yoga for over 20 years and teaching vinyasa Yoga for over 10 years. 7 years ago she opened a hot yoga studio in Barcelona called Yogalinda and has been teaching 5 teacher trainings a year for over 5 years. Her background was originally in Bikram and Moksha Hot Yoga and did her 200hr training with Tribe Yoga in Vinyasa Yoga. Heather is certified to teach hot yoga, vinyasa, hatha, prenatal yoga, yoga for sport and yoga for cancer. She stresses taking care of your body and not pushing to far while watching your joints. She also is a yoga business coach for yoga teachers looking to take their yoga careers to the next level.
Heather began practicing Hot Yoga in Toronto, Canada 20 years ago. After going to her first class she was hooked on the way her body and mind felt. Over the years she became involved with a yoga clothing line called Yogagurl and started helping the founder promote, sell and market the products. The love of the Spanish language brought Heather to Spain in 2006. After several stressful years in sales in a crisis market, Heather decided to follow one of her life long dreams to become a certified yoga instructor. Heather has been lucky to have been trained under Baron Baptiste (Baptiste Power Hot Yoga), Ted Grand (Moksha Hot Yoga), Alex Leikermoser a.k.a. yogagurl and the Tribe yoga instructors, Scarlett and Raquel. Heather is certified in teaching hot vinyasa and prenatal yoga.
Her background in business and marketing has allowed her to help yoga teachers follow their dreams in her 1 on 1 yoga business coaching services. She is now also offering healing shamanic breath work 1 on 1 as she feels it really helps people let go of their problems and live a happier life! Heather feels such joy in helping others make their dreams come true and is always open and honest about how she opened her yoga studio.
Sharing experiences and having a mentor can really help you to elevate your idea into a successful career. They have already made a lot of mistakes that you will most likely make as well so their expertise is invaluable.
Yoga is like this big community of like – minded individuals all with the same set of philosophies based on the 8 limbs path of yoga and the yoga sutras. So why not grow bigger and use that.
